bowling for columbine

The thesis of this movie is that America has too many guns and it is too easy to take one and kill someone. This thesis is saying that the US states have not enough rules or regulations on guns and that people can buy them too easy. He feels that people should not be aloud to carry around guns and that the law does nothing about it.
He supports his thesis in many ways but the biggest one being the shooting at Columbine. He has archival footage of the shooting in the school and the panic it was. This makes the people think that guns are bad and people with them can do things like that. He also uses voice over narration with the 911 calls being played well the shooting is going on. this make parents think what could happen if the parents where in the same situation and that the parents should hate guns because of it. He also uses other examples to prove his statement like when he used animation to show what this world is about. The guy uses this instead of shooting the kids in the school he makes a cartoon to show his frustration. To me the big example is the number of gun deaths by other residents of the US. theses are a few of his supporting arguments.
