The Riders have been struggling recently. They got only 2 points in their last game against the Blue Bombers. The Riders were struggling two weeks ago when they lost to the 2 and 7 Eskimos and barely won on Labour Day weekend against the Blue Bombers. The Riders have many issues that need to be addressed if the want to have a chance at the Grey Cup.
Some people think that Dorsey just needs to play more to get better and that it is not Durant it is the receivers and everybody else but him. There are many excuses that fans and the team have given for there unsuccessful last few games.
That is a load of BS Dorsey has been wrong since day one and should have never made the team. In spring camp the riders let go Thigpen and kept Dorsey but if you look at Thigpen’s yards off the punt and kick they made a huge mistake. Dorsey has no TD’s and not many yards but Thigpen has numerous TD’s and lots of yards. The riders should have seen that at lest a few games ago but no they kept him going. Last week he finally got injured so he is done for the season. This did not come too early for the riders.
The Riders’ big QB Durant is loved by lots and thought to be the next best thing. Yeah he is pretty good most of the time and can make some big plays. He started of this season pretty well with lots of yards and only a few interceptions. But recently he has been terrible. The coach thinks he just is in a slump and needs time to get out of it. Really he needs something big to happen to him in order to get him playing his best again. What that is no one knows yet but something has to happen to him. This could be sitting him for a game or two, giving him a better o line, maybe even let him decide what needs to be done in order for him to play his best.
Get a new punt and kick returner and maybe sit Durant for a game; these are some things the riders need to do to start winning again. They have a good team and a good chance to win the Grey Cup with a new returner and Durant at his best. These are the two major changes the riders need if they want to win.
The riders have a great back bone with a good receiving core and a good QB who is having some struggles. The riders are a winning team but need some change to make the Grey Cup. Now with Dorsey gone and maybe a new receiver for Durant they will win more. They have a good possibility of win the Grey Cup if they can win there next game. Go Riders go.
